On February 8, Fr PAUL AQUILINA, SJ, aged 94, was called to eternal life, fortified by the rites of Holy Church, in Jisu Jaher, Dumka, India, where he served as a missionary for the past 72 years.

Beloved son of the late Maria Assunta and Anthony Aquilina of Siġġiewi.

Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Josephine and her spouse Pawlu, Nicolina and her spouse Edgar, Carmel, Tarcisio and his spouse Flora, Nicholas, and Salvinu and his spouse Josephine.

He leaves to mourn his passing his brethren of the Society of Jesus in Malta and India; his brothers and sisters Epifanio and his spouse Lina, Pierre and his spouse Irene, Doreen and her spouse Carmelo, Gemma, Sister Teodoreta of the Franciscan Sisters of the Heart of Jesus; his in-laws Melita and Carmen; extended family, other relatives and friends.

Holy Mass for the repose of his soul, offered in thanksgiving for his life and priestly ministry, will be celebrated at the Church of St Nicholas, Siġġiewi, on Thursday, February 19, at 3.30pm.
