On October 30, at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, UK, former ambassador Dr GEORGE CASSAR, of Qormi, aged 69, passed peacefully away after a short illness.

He leaves to mourn his loss his loving wife Jane, his daughter Antonella and her partner Bruce, his son Carl and his partner Clare, his daughter Kate and her daughter Saskia, his daughter Amy and her husband Nick and their children, Oliver, Joshua and Alexander, his brothers Mr Justice Silvio Meli and his wife Sylvana, Philip Meli and his wife Jackie, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
