On July 3, CARMEN PORTANIER (née Vella), born in Sliema, singer, presenter and actress, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of the Holy Church.

She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved son Reuben and his wife Pamela, her grandchildren Bettina and Beppe, her partner Alfred Galea, her brother Anthony Vella and his wife Mary, her sister Marierite and her husband Joseph Lupi, her brother Martin Vella and his wife Carmen, her sister Josette and her husband Joseph Formosa, her nephews Chris, Daniel, Chan, Ramon, Andre, Alexander, Peter, James, Jeremy and Benjamin, and her nieces Vanessa, Sarah, Rodelita, Jeanette, Andrea, Annika and Audrey, other relatives and friends.

The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, July 7, for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where mass to celebrate her life will be said at 9am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
